Dandelions Rock

When I went to primary school
All the other kids said
If you go near dandelions
They make you wet the bed
That of course is silly talk
But also partially true
If you made it into a tea or something
You'd be running to the loo

Dandelions rock
People call them weeds
Make a wish on the clock
And scatter all their seeds
Dandelions are king
They are herbs not weeds
Nectar in the spring
Feeding all the bees

From the french dents-de-lion
Meaning lion's teeth
The whole of the plant is edible
Flower root and leaf
Oh the humble dandelion
Not selfish in the least
Feeding birds and butterflies
And putting on a pollen feast
